I’ve spent hella lot of time on this platform. Counting, connecting, writing, editing, advertising, and so on. After all of that. I’ve hit 100. It hasn’t come easy. It hasn’t at all, but it’s been fun. Fun always conquers hard, and I want to thank every single one of my subscribers. (I have not advertised on social media AT ALL to get the number of subscribers I have right now.)
When I surveyed for the special edition, almost everyone (about 95%) voted for a mailbag. And it ain’t just bluff. 50+ people participated.
So, my friends. Without further ado, let’s begin this mailbag! We had many insightful questions, so I recommend you read EVERYTHING.
Mailbag!!!
: Which one is better? The World Cup or the Super Bowl?I would say.
World Cup.
This is a really hard decision to make. Personally, I’m not a big fan of soccer, so I’m not exactly showing any bias in my decision. I’m mainly thinking about the environment.
Sure, you can argue. People are CRAZY for the Super Bowl. Schools are off (all across the US), if your team is in the SB your whole town will start wearing jerseys, gear, etc. Heck, some people’ve been arrested for rowdying up at the Super Bowl.
But even that can’t beat the dang world cup.
First off, this event isn’t just in one country. It’s worldwide. Next, one country doesn’t have two teams sporting them. It’s one country vs one country. Third thing, if your whole country is being represented, especially if you’re a small one, you’re all bound to have some party, feast, riot, or something lively that makes you unify as a country. Even if your country isn’t represented.
I saw a post on X on the date of the final that they were allowed to watch the WHOLE World Cup Final at school! It looks like, every single teacher they went to, started streaming the game! Yeah! Crazy!
: Why does the CFL not get as much recognition as it should, and should there be a spring training (MLB) championship?Alright so. Let me explain to all our readers what the CFL is.
It is the Canadian Football League. Yes. American football. Just in Canada.
To answer your question about recognition.
American Football is a sport played in only America (and Canada, I guess). It isn’t as worldwide as soccer. You see, the sport has a lot of popularity only because 4.3% of the world lives in the US. Going back to what Shreyan asked, soccer is known by everyone, because it is a worldwide sport! Just Canada and the US playing the sport isn’t worldwide.
Your next question.
Unfortunately, it can’t be like the NBA. The thing is, the NBA created a whole new tournament. The real reason Spring Training exists is almost like a warmup to the MLB season and to identify the best prospects. Why I say it’s a warmup is because the MLB season is a toll. These teams play every single day, 3/4 of the time. They’re getting used to that with the schedule. If they create a championship, it’ll be too competitive and they’ll risk their stars getting injured.
: Who is the best non-QB in the NFL draft this year?Marvin Harrison Jr.
I think this is way too obvious of an answer, but it’s the truth. With the moves the Cardinals have made this offseason, it’s only obvious that they’re going to get him.
But, why did I pick him?
He is an exceptional producer who can deliver high-volume and high-impact performances.
He runs routes at a threatening pace and has sudden movements when coming out of breaks.
He has good rhythm and body control when snapping off comeback routes and uses changes in speed to create indecisiveness in cornerbacks.
He has elite scrambling skills, which allow them to uncover wide-open plays when the game breaks down.
He has professional footwork, which they use to work on their boundary catches.
He is highly focused when tracking deep balls and has above-average ball skills.
He can make late body adjustments and use sudden hands to bring in the catch.
Lastly, he has an elegant leap and spin to snatch throws over the defender's head.

Anonymous: 2024-2025 NFL season predictions.
With the way the offseason has been, I know I’m not going to include one team in my Super Bowl Winner possibility list. The San Francisco 49ers.
But, the Eagles, Raiders, Dolphins, Packers, Texans, and Falcons look like threats if not even bigger threats.
Currently? I have the Packers winning the Super Bowl against the Texans. The only reason the Packers are pushing it right now for me is the addition of Josh Jacobs. I mean. You got Jacobs, Doubs, Love, a hungry defense, but most importantly. A young core.
Are new young superteams in the build?I think what I said above basically answers your question, but yeah.
The Packers made the playoffs, beat the Cowboys, and almost beat the 49ers. They have a future.
The Texans, unfortunately, lost in the Divisional Round, but making the playoffs in C.J. Stroud’s first year is crazy. Another team that has a future.
The Lions. They did it. Can they continue it is the question that I believe not unless they make a few good draft moves.
The Bears are another team that has a future. Definitely a new QB coming their way, which means maybe a playoff push?
The Jets have an amazing defensive base/build. They also have a pretty solid WR core and Aaron Rodgers. To be honest, for the Jets, the 2024 season is now or never.
: Who is going to win the World Series?I have no question about my pick, and I think everyone knows who it’s going to be, but I’m going to say it anyway.
The Los Angeles Dodgers.
Adding Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, James Paxton, Teoscar Hernandez. This offseason was a billion-dollar one for the LA Dodgers, and I think it’s going to pay out.
But, if you're going to bet on this, watch out. Last year, the Padres had Soto, Machado, and Tatis. A core 3. They disappointed. They sucked.
Something about the Dodgers makes me think differently. The Dodgers always want to win. That mindset has never changed.
: What is your opinion on Jackson Holliday? This guy is making plays. This guy knows how to hit. Better yet, this guy knows how to fend off the pressure.
Yeah, he’s a lefty, but if I’m being completely honest, he looks like the next Trea Turner.
He’s definitely going to take Jorge Mateo’s sport at shortstop. I mean, the man batted a .217 last year. The thing is, we’ll never know if he’s overrated until he makes the MLB. He’s already struck out against Paul Skenes 2 times! That sucks!
Right now? I have a feeling this guy is the future. But, the truth is, you never know.
: What are sports communities doing to support trans athletes, and what can they do better?Nothing. Sports communities are doing NOTHING to support these people. What they can do better? Include!
I don’t know about my community, but most of the tweets and stories I see all give unfair rights to trans-athletes. They don’t even let them play because to them? They aren’t male. They aren’t female.
Hopefully, this will improve. Hopefully, everyone will get to share the same amazing feeling of sports. Hopefully, lgbtq+phobia will go away. Forever. Just like racism.
: Can Wyatt Langford or Evan Carter contend for ROTY in the AL?Yes. Both of them can. Right now, I see the main obvious and more competitive ROTY candidates in the NL. Just going to state one off the top of my head. Yamamoto. Then again, we can’t forget Junior Caminero in the AL, Ricky Tiedemann, Colson Montgomery, or Zach Gelof. But, there is still a huge gap between the production of Wyatt Langford and Evan Carter compared to any of the guys I listed above.
: What’s your ultimate goal on substack? You see, the vision I had when starting this was to educate the world about sports, bring unbiased sports reporting, and to make sure everyone start their day fresh, happy, and enjoyable. I want to create a sports MOVEMENT.
I also wanted to make some more friends on this platform. I want to collaborate and make amazing sports posts with them.
So yeah. There is that.
: What advice would you have for other Substackers trying to start blogs?Post frequently, make your friends subscribe, collaborate with people who sport the same genre as you, and put your substack’s link everywhere.
Conclusion
That’s where we end our mailbag. Thank you so much to the people who entered a question. Hopefully, you enjoyed this edition. If you did, make sure to like and share Sports Square with all your friends. And, let’s not stop with 100. Let’s go for 200, 500, 1000, 5000, 10000 and so on! Let’s do this!
