Quick one here today folks. Everyone is playing in the MLB and the NLDS could be wrapped up today. Let’s take a quick peek into it all.
(My bad for the late release. Was scheduled wrongly..)
Royals vs Yankees
After winning their first game versus the Royals, the Yankees were riding with high hopes in game 2. The Royals crushed it, but that didn’t stop the Yankees.
In a recent article from MLB.com, Jazz Chrisholm Jr. literally said that the Royals got lucky in their win versus the Yankees.
The Yankees have the easiest path to the World Series, but the Royals are competing and even with the Yankees having a super team, the Royals have that fiery feeling in their stomach about the win.
It’s currently 1-1 as they move to Kansas City today. Seth Lugo is getting the start for KC, so maybe we see a win? Lugo has a 3 ERA this season with only 69 runs given up in over 200 innings pitched. Meanwhile, for the Yankees, Clarke Schmidt will make his first career postseason start after recording a 2.85 ERA and 5-5 record in 16 starts this season.
Padres vs Dodgers:
What a series. The Dodgers, the juggernauts of the MLB are down 2-1 against the Padres in the NLDS again. It doesn't matter if they spend a billion dollars in the off-season. What does matter is that they need to spend another billion dollars.
The Dodgers finished off with one of the worst regular seasons in the last 12 years. History does show that the Dodgers should’ve won the World Series this year because whenever they finish with a record less than 100 wins, they go to the World Series.
The Padres have a good team, no question about that, but they didn’t spend a billion dollars in the off-season and they still might advance to the NLCS. Fernando Tatis Jr. is cooking and Manny Machado is too even after his Dave Roberts hitting controversy. Mookie Betts has revived himself after his 1st at-bat, 1st inning homerun.
I think the Dodgers are gonna lose this one folks.
